Udder Health Program and Milk Testing
In addition to the milk testing services available through MMPA’s FDA certified laboratory, members have access to additional herd health testing in a variety of areas. As part of MMPA’s Udder Health Program, MMPA members can monitor their herd’s health through MMPA’s partnership with other laboratories.
All tests must be scheduled through your MMPA member representative or the laboratory for proper sample submission protocol. Payments for testing will be made through automatic milk check deductions.
Cow samples may be tested for:
- Culture for Streptococcus agalactiae
- Strep non ag
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Coagulase negative staph
- Gram negative
- Somatic Cell Counts

- Bovine Viral Diarrhea (PCR and ELISA)
- Johne’s Milk Test (PCR and ELISA)
