All chemicals should be treated with caution and Safety Data Sheets should be made available to individuals that use chemical products. As a responsible supplier of chemicals commonly found on farms, MMPA’s Farm Supply Store provides the following recommendations and Safety Data Sheets for use by our customers.

Precautions

Protect eyes, skin and clothing from contact with product. Wear chemical goggles, rubber gloves, rubber boots and a rubber apron. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wash hands thoroughly after handling product.

Spill Procedures

For small spills, add dry material to contain. For large spills, dike to contain. Wearing recommended protective equipment, remove bulk of liquid. Add dry material to absorb remaining liquid; pick up and containerize for recovery or disposal. Flush area with water to eliminate residues.

First Aid Treatment Guidelines

External: Immediately flush skin with plenty of cool, running water for at least 15 minutes. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.

Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of cool, running water. Remove contact lenses; then continue flushing for at least 15 minutes, while holding eyelids apart. Call a physician.

Internal: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth; then immediately drink 1 or 2 glasses of water or milk. Call a physician. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention immediately.
