Directions

Use Dilutions – Cleaning Pipeline Milkers

0-18 grains hardness – 1 oz. per each 3 gallons (2.6 mL/L) hot water (160°F./71°C.).
18-40 grains hardness –1 oz. per each 2 gallons (3.9 mL/L) hot water (160°F./71°C.).

  1. Pre-rinse system thoroughly with potable warm water (100°F./38°C. – 110°F./43°C.).
  2. Prepare washing solution using the correct dilution as recommended above.
  3. Circulate cleaning solution through system for not more than 10 minutes. Temperature must not go below 100°F./38°C. during wash cycle.4
  4. Rinse system thoroughly with 1 ounce of Mandate Plus to each 6 gallons (1.3 m/L) rinse water to acid rinse and sanitize in one easy step. Or follow with an acidified rinse using the proper use dilution of PL-10 or Envirocid Plus and warm water (100°F./38°C. – 110°F./43°C.).
  5. Unless Mandate Plus was used to acid rinse and sanitize in the last step, just before milking, sanitize by using proper use dilution of Equipment Sanitizer and water. (Do not sanitize equipment sooner than 30 minutes before use.)

Use Dilutions – Cleaning Bulk Tanks

0-18 grains hardness – 1 oz. per each 2 gallons (3.9 mL/L) hot water (160°F./71°C.).
18-40 grains hardness – 1 oz. per each gallon (7.8 mL/L) hot water (160°F./71°C.).

  1. Pre-rinse bulk tank with potable, warm water (100°F./38°C. – 110°F./43°C.).\
  2. Prepare washing solution using the correct use dilution as recommended above.
  3. Circulate and spray solution on bulk tank surfaces with mechanical washing unit for not more than 10 minutes. Temperature must not go below 100°F./38°C. during wash cycle. Drain.
  4. Rinse inside and outside of bulk tank with proper use dilution of Mandate Plus to acid rinse and sanitize in one easy step. Or follow with an acidified rinse using the proper use dilution of PL-10 or Envirocid Plus. Circulate. Allow to drain.
  5. Unless Mandate Plus was used to acid rinse and sanitize in the last step, just before milking, sanitize by using proper use dilution of Equipment Sanitizer and water. (Do not sanitize equipment sooner than 30 minutes before use.)
