Directions

Use Dilutions – Cleaning Pipeline Milkers

0-12 grains hardness – 1 oz per 2.6 mL/L (3 gallons) hot water (71°C/ 160°F)
12-18 grains hardness – 1 oz per 3.9 mL/L (2 gallons) hot water (71°C/ 160°F)
More than 18 grains hardness – 1 1/2 oz per 5.9 mL/L (2 gallons) hot water (71°C/ 160°F)

Cleaning Pipelines Without Mechanical Washers:

  1. Pre-rinse system thoroughly with clean warm water (38°-43°C/ 100°-110°F).
  2. Prepare wash solution using the correct use dilution as recommended above. Circulate for not more than 8 minutes. Temperature must not go below 38°C (100°F) during wash cycle. Drain.
  3. Rinse with a large volume of tap water to remove all detergent solution. Follow with proper use dilution of Ecolab EPA-registered acid sanitizer to acid rinse and sanitize in one easy step. Or use proper use dilution of acid rinse. Circulate. Allow to drain.
  4. Unless acid sanitizer was used to acid rinse and sanitize in last step, just before milking, sanitize by circulating proper ppm solution of Ecolab liquid sanitizer, following label directions. Do not sanitize more than 30 minutes before using equipment. Drain completely.

Use Dilutions – Spray or Mechanical Washing of Bulk Tanks

0-18 grains hardness – 3/4 oz per 5.9 mL/L (1 gallon) hot water (71°C/ 160°F)
More than 18 grains hardness – 1 1/2 oz per 11.7 mL/L (1 gallon) hot water (71°C/160°F)

Cleaning Procedure:

  1. Pre-rinse bulk tank with clean warm water (38°-43°C/100°-110°F).
  2. Prepare wash solution using the correct use dilution as recommended above.
  3. Circulate and spray solution on bulk tank surfaces with mechanical washing unitfor not more than 8 minutes. Temperature must not go below 38°C (100°F) during wash cycle. Drain.
  4. Rinse tank thoroughly inside and out with clear water. Follow with proper use dilution of EPA-registered acid sanitizer to acid rinse and sanitize in one easy step. Or use proper use dilution of Ecolab acid rinse. Circulate. Allow to drain.
  5. Unless acid sanitizer was used to acid rinse and sanitize in last step, just before milking, sanitize by spraying with proper ppm solution of liquid sanitizer applied by sprayer.Allow tank to drain before closing valve.
